Day 1: Travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast and briefing on your 4 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari, leave Kampala/Entebbe for wildlife viewing experience at Queen Elizabeth National Park. The 6 hours’ drive trip takes you via Masaka-Mbarara-Ishaka then to the park and it includes a stop visit at equator crossing and lunch stop at Agip hotel/Igongo Cultural Centre.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s largest park and prides itself as a home to immerse wildlife ranging from lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, warthogs, antelopes, over 620 birds and others. Upon early arrival, relax a bit then go for an afternoon launch trip through Kazinga channel that also connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

On a boat cruise, expect to enjoy interesting view of immerse hippos, crocodiles, water birds and a lot more. You will have best time to take pictures while on a boat cruise and after, get back to your wildlife safari lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and after, drive via Kasenyi Plains one of the scenic sections of Queen Elizabeth National Park where game drives are best conducted. In your 4×4 Safari Van or Land Cruiser, expect to have excellent sight of lions, cape buffaloes, elephants, leopards, birds, antelopes and other mammal species.

Return after the 3-4 hours’ wildlife viewing tour experience to check out. Drive via Ishasha area in the south the only area to sight the tree climbing lions on Uganda safari tour. Proceed to Southwestern Uganda with lunch stop at Savanna Resort and then connect to check in at your gorilla safari lodge in Bwindi for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & Batwa encounter

4 DAYS UGANDA WILDLIFE AND GORILLA SAFARIDay 3 of your 4 days Uganda wildlife and gorilla safari tour will involve you rising up early to have your cup of tea or coffee. After, assemble at Bwindi park offices for the 7:00am briefing about gorilla trekking rules and to be assigned a gorilla family which you will explore in a group of 8 visitors.

Begin your trek at 8:00am with park guide and ensure you have plenty of drinking and some snacks. The length your trek can go for about 2-6 hours inclusive of 1 hour of photography and magical encounter with mountain gorillas in the wild. Amazingly, you also stand a chance to spot many other primates and forest birds.

Return after gorilla trekking experience, relax and later, the Batwa community visit will be your next activity. The afternoon cultural tour in Batwa community is amazing as it lets you enjoy the authentic African dances, music as performed by the Batwa pygmies, learn about their hunting and gathering techniques, lifestyles and a lot more. Dinner and overnight stay at gorilla safari lodge.
