Gorilla trekking permit card prices for Uganda have been discounted for the year 2014 to boost the usually renowned low season where few clients visit Uganda for gorilla trekking. In a letter issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority, Mr John Makobo who signed on behalf of the executive director of this body explained that this aims at offering opportunities to tour operators and other stake holders to package their safaris with a discounted rate.
From the golden jubilees independence celebrations that Uganda marked in 2012, the Uganda Wildlife Authority has been extending this token of gratitude all the stake holders in tourism including the clients for their continuous support to Uganda Wildlife. The gorilla tracking Uganda permits for November 2013 were earlier in May announced to be sold at this attractive price. A foreigner non-resident coming to track gorillas in Uganda will be paying $ 350, foreign resident paying $ 300 and a Uganda paying Sh 150,000. This offer is only applicable in the month of November 2013, May 2014, April 2014 and November 2014.
According to the statistics conducted by Uganda wildlife Authority, Gorilla trekking permit cards for May, April and November not been on high demand and so to boost their sales, the authority has been discounting them since 2012. The gorilla tracking permit cards are open to every one to buy and are on first come first serve basis.
